Description
Ogone e-Commerce is a payment solution designed for electronic commerce, i.e. doing business online. When the customer indicates that he wishes to make a payment, the merchant's e-commerce site redirects him to the Ogone site. Ogone e-Commerce collects the necessary information and processes the payment request. After payment verification, Ogone notifies the merchant's e-commerce site and returns the customer to it. This process is transparent for the customer. The merchant can then connect to the Ogone site to administer his payments. The Merchant Assistant option provides additional functions such as the calculation of taxes and delivery costs.

Payment methods
One of the advantages of using Ogone e-Commerce is that only one integration needs to be carried out for the merchant to be able to accept all available methods of payment. Of course Ogone e-Commerce is compatible with bank cards, but also with NetBanking methods. One of the steps followed during affiliation with Ogone e-Commerce involves an automatic link up with the acquiring financial institutions. Unlike other payment solutions, Ogone e-Commerce does not cash the commissions that may be charged by financial institutions, but separately invoices a fixed charge per transaction. This transparent situation allows the merchant to take advantage of a direct relationship with his financial institution(s).
Technical information
Ogone e-Commerce can be integrated very simply. It does not require the installation of any components on the merchant's site and is independent of the platform. Information is exchanged according to the HTML, XML and SSL market standards. The merchant does not have to manage transaction security nor store sensitive information on his site, as it is exchanged directly between the customer and Ogone.
Price
The overall cost is broken down into a single activation charge, a monthly subscription charge and a charge per transaction. It does not include any commissions that may be charged by the acquiring financial institutions. Merchants can choose the best formula for them according to the anticipated volume of transactions.
Set up and support
A test site and a technical guide are supplied to merchants who join Ogone e-Commerce. An online tutorial and help line accompany the merchant through all the stages when he opens his account. All administrative procedures, apart from those to be undertaken with the acquirers, are carried out online, allowing the merchant to get off to a quick start. If necessary, a tutorial and a free hotline are available.
Management module
Ogone offers merchants a management module, with secure access, where they can manage their transactions and configure their account.
